Role: Executive –Procurement

This position shall be based in Head Office, Dhaka.

Responsibilities

• Ensure all goods and services purchased comply with company procurement policy & procedure.
• Negotiating with suppliers to deliver best value to the company
• Implement sourcing strategies for products or service assigned and ensure an ongoing delivery of quality product
• Generation of monthly reports
• Coordinate and monitor empty bags requirement with end users
• Arrange empty bag deliveries to plant as per the requirement.
• Formation of Contract s/ Agreements/ MOU etc
• Transactional part of Inbound logistic (including PO issuing, LC issuing, STO creation)
• Manage the import and export process comply with country law
• Deal with relevant authorities and obtain the required permits/licence etc.
• Generate benefits through negotiations with Freight Forwarders
• Ensure the on time delivery to carry out the plant operation without any obstacles
• Review & Certify the statutory payments related to the shipments
• Handle payment instruments and related issues with bank (LC/TT/DP/Guarantee etc)
• STO creation, Monitor condition cost and allocate condition cost, PO closing
• Handle customs related issues and coordinate with clearing agents
• Supplier selection and pre qualifying to manage the risk
• monitoring and measuring supplier performance
• Increase the quality and efficiency of communication with suppliers
• Aligns company Strategy with Supplier strategy to create competitive advantage.
• Negotiate with contractors for safety requirements and include to the contract

Education & Work Experience: 

• Graduation in Engineering, Finance or Supply Chain.
• Diploma in SCM will be an added advantage
• Min 2-3 years of experience in Import Export, planning , direct sourcing & cement bag purchase.
