Assistant General Manager, Tele Sales

The Role:

As one of the leaders in our Tele sales organization, you will be the driving force behind propelling Shikho’s education technology platform to new heights. 🚀

Key Roles & Responsibilities:

Agent Level:

  • Maintain a clear understanding of lead stages to ensure effective lead utilization.
  • Monitor follow-up and pipeline leads call-backs.
  • Monitor relationship build up behavior of agents with leads.
  • Develop strategies to assist team leaders and agents in closing sales.
  • Maintain visibility of agent-wise conversion rates, including leads answered to conversion and pipeline lead to conversion.
  • Ensure that each agent meets their weekly revenue target based on their tenure.

Team Leaders (TL) level:

  • Align with weekly and monthly targets as well as company lead and sales strategy.
  • Stay motivated, promoting a positive atmosphere on the work floor.
  • Ensure Team Leader is carrying out their tasks of helping agents’ close sales, monitoring calls and generating reports.
  • Keep track of agents by vintage to identify improvement areas and guide them.

Attendance:

  • Ensure regular and punctual attendance of all Tele sales agents to maintain optimal team performance.
  • Monitor daily attendance records and address any inconsistencies or patterns of absenteeism promptly.

Hiring:

  • Actively participate in the recruitment process for Tele sales agents and team leads, ensuring a thorough and fair evaluation of candidates.
  • Work closely with HR to identify the key skills and attributes required for success in the Tele sales roles.

Retention:

  • Develop and implement strategies to retain top-performing Tele sales agents, recognizing and rewarding their contributions.
  • Identify agents who show traits and capabilities that are needed for a team leader role and groom them accordingly.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Minimum 5 years of working experience with a Bachelor’s/Master’s degree.
  • High-growth operations or startup experience is strongly preferred.
  • Prior experience in ed-tech is a plus.
  • Minimum 3 years of team management and mentoring experience
  • Proven experience in telesales operations management, scaling telesales teams and achieving sales targets.
  • Strong analytical skills with an emphasis on data-driven decision-making.
  • Outstanding communication and leadership skills with the ability to mentor and develop teams.
  • Proficiency in using CRM tools and other relevant Tele sales software.

Job type: Full Time

Reporting to: Vice President, Operations

Salary: Competitive and Negotiable Based on Experience

Working Days: 6 days a week, from Saturday to Thursday
