Brand Strategist – Marketing Communications

Job Context

As a Brand Strategist, the incumbent will integrate company strategy into a cohesive brand strategy, ensuring consistent representation across all channels. This role balances strategic thinking, creative solutions, and executional finesse.

Job Descriptions:

Communication Strategy:

  • Develop and execute communication plans to support IDLC’s marketing goals
  • Create engaging and informative content that aligns with IDLC’s brand guidelines
  • Develop an annual calendar for creative campaigns and review them based on marketing objectives
  • Ensure all communication materials comply with brand guidelines

Brand Management:

  • Align all brand assets with IDLC’s brand guidelines
  • Manage key brand assets among stakeholders to ensure a cohesive visual experience
  • Assess brand health using key metrics like brand preference, imagery, ad likeability, and brand equity
  • Implement “brand shift” strategies based on consumer and business insights

Campaign Management:

  • Initiate campaigns, prepare briefs, and coordinate with stakeholders for timely execution and delivery
  • Monitor agency performance, negotiate terms, and align relationships with business goals

Vendor and Stakeholder Management:

  • Negotiate and coordinate with creative, media, and activation agencies
  • Develop and implement vendor management policies and procedures
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to maintain strategic brand alignment

Competitor Landscape and Innovation:

  • Scan competitor branding initiatives and assess industry best practices
  • Develop new ideas and media innovations to keep the brand competitive
  • Utilize trend spotting and consumer insights for innovative marketing efforts

Formulating and Anchoring Brand Strategy:

  • Anchor the brand strategy in line with company/business strategy
  • Sync all products, services, and initiatives under one brand story with proper customer insight
  • Utilize customer segmentation insights and target segment strategies for marketing and relevant functions
  • Construct and disseminate the brand platform, including brand promise, positioning, value propositions, and activities

Managing Brand Consistency:

  • Utilize segment insights and brand platform to formulate brand guidelines
  • Translate brand strategies into directions for various marketing executions
  • Maintain consistency of brand assets across all internal and external communications
  • Ensure strategic and architectural alignment of the brand framework

Job Requirements

Education

Bachelor’s degree with experience in brand building/development/strategic projects

Experience

4 – 6 years of direct working experience with brand(s)

Job Grade: Senior Executive Officer
