THE ROLE

• Assist with booking accurate and high quality accounting entries for our Asia support offices in Bangladesh, Hong Kong, Thailand and Shanghai
• Support AR/AP and employee expense claims through SAP/Concur systems
• Assist in month end closing and reporting
• Support general ledger reporting and variance analysis
• Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations and weekly bank reconciliations
• Maintain strong accounting controls in line with relevant accounting standards and group policies
• Perform daily accounting operations and assist in ad hoc duties as and when required

WHO YOU ARE

• Degree in Finance / Business / Accounting
• At least 3 years’ accounting experience
• Member of a certified professional accounting body or studying towards a professional calculation
• Self motivated and well organised with the ability to identify and solve problems
• Strong communication skills (written and verbal) in Bengali and English – any Cantonese/Mandarin/Thai would be an advantage
• Strong adaptive personality in a dynamic environment
• Able to work on own initiative as well as part of a team
• Experience of using Microsoft Office with intermediate/advanced usage of Excel
• Experience of using Google Sheets would be an advantage
• Experience of SAP and Quickbooks would be an advantage
