Job Description

We are looking for a Software Engineer (Backend) for the IT Department. The position is available immediately and can be accomplished from our office in Dhaka. 

Do you have passion for developing robust, scalable and highly performant software? SquareFeet is developing PropTech Management Platform in Bangladesh. You will extend and maintain the architecture of this framework and the integration with the company APIs. You will work together with a team of other software engineers, UX/UI designers and quality assurance engineers.

Your mission

• Design, analyze and develop high-quality complete enterprise applications following the best practices and standards
• Extend and maintain the architecture of the existing company framework
• Create solutions providing components and libraries so other can use them (thinking about different scenarios where these components will be used)
• Be a key contributor within our agile development squad
• Deliver the software artifacts including unit and integration tests and documentation
• Provide estimations in refinements
• Give feedback in retrospectives
• Demo accomplishments in sprint reviews
• Perform code reviews
• Support and onboard other team member

What You Will Do:

• Develop customer solutions through collaboration with our product, data science, and customer experience experts
• Have the opportunity to own and drive solutions to customer problems
• Write secure code for APIs, frontend, backend, web, partner integration 
• Solve interesting problems and integrate with partner development teams
• Deliver using agile, test-driven design methodology
• Learn and adapt technologies to real problems
• Based on the need of the project, supports internal and external relationships with business partners and suppliers as required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree is required
• At least 1 year of employment as a platform/back-end engineer in a professional setting
• Must have working experience on Laravel / Advanced PHP (Composer Packages)
• Must have working experience in Ajax, jQuery
• Experience third-party REST/SOAP API integration
• Solid understanding in OOP, Data Structure & Database
• Demonstrable knowledge of web technologies including HTML, CSS, Bootstrap
• Must have self-learning and exploration skill
• Good communication & leadership skill
• Experience on Vue.js framework will be a plus
• Ability to easily dive into code written in unfamiliar languages
• Expertise working with cloud platforms (DigitalOcean, AWS, Google Cloud, etc) and designing large-scale cloud architecture
• Strong experience with complex application integrations
• Ability to define data model and data storage strategies, including knowledge of distributed data systems
• Ability to manage multiple/competing priorities and make the right tradeoffs and timely delivery of features
• Strong experience planning and writing unit, functional, and integration tests, load profiling and testing, and performance and availability monitoring

Skills

• Atlasssian package (Specially Confluence & Trello)
• Google workspace (Doc, Sheet)
• Basic communication skills are a must
