Commercial Supply Director (F/M) – BE828292

For our client, a major actor in the energy supply market, we are looking for a Commercial Supply Director (F/M).

As such, you will be responsible for ensuring that all commercial supply activities are structured and operated efficiently and consistently across all of the firm’s regions to ultimately ensure lowest cost of goods.

Responsibilities:

• You will lead and organize the Commercial Supply function to effectively deliver best of class COGS to all businesses of the firm ;
• You will work in close cooperation with the Supply Operations Director and his/her team, defining and operating a clear framework between Commercial and Operations to implement strategies to ultimately improve COGS ;
• You will establish a governance model to ensure overall alignment of the Commercial Supply function, yet allowing tailor-made approaches to adapt to each country’s specifications ;
• You will adapt to an evolving business environment helping drive change and continuous improvement across all of your teams to ensure expertise and best practices are shared across regions ;
• You will deal with all external stakeholders such as market counter parties, suppliers, producers and traders ;
• You will work alongside the other leadership functional heads to ensure that all cross functional communications are effective between departments ;
• You will deliver requirements that enable multiple fiscal reporting cycles in accordance with directions provided by the group finance director.

Profile:

• You have a minimum of 10 years of experience in commodity markets, an experience in the oil and gas markets is a plus ;
• You have an international experience working in a matrix organization in collaboration with different geographical perimeters ;
• You possess an extensive knowledge of all aspects of commercial supply and trading best practices ;
• You have a strong sense of leadership balancing between strategic vision building & tactical implementation ;
• You have excellent communication and negotiation skills ;
• You have an analytical mind, results driven with strong commercial and creative approach to problem solving ;
• You are fluent in English. The knowledge of French, Dutch, German or Polish is a plus.
