Director of Commercial IT Applications (EMEA) F/M

The Director of Commercial IT Applications (EMEA) will be providing technology business partnership and delivering on system capabilities for all commercial business applications for Cepheid in the EMEA region. This is a key leadership role focused on strategic business partnership and roadmap planning and execution in EMEA for the commercial organization, with a core focus on SAP and SFDC and other associated technologies. Spanning strategic projects, enhancements and support for the EMEA organization, to be successful in this role the candidate must effectively manage the EMEA portfolio, support prioritization, planning of IT projects and provide direction and expertise to the Solution Architecture and Analyst teams successfully deliver new solutions and software automation to drive efficiencies and help scale the organization through the hyper growth phase Cepheid is currently experiencing.

You will be responsible for:

• Building strong relationships with key stakeholders in the EMEA commercial business and enablement teams at a local and global level to get close to the business vision and align technology goals to underpin this
• Multifaceted product expertise/experience in SAP and SFDC and analytics with a broad understanding of technology advancements and Enterprise Architecture principles
• Implementing standard methodology IT Management processes in line with industry standard methodologies focusing on rapid delivery for business needs. Experienced in both a traditional waterfall and agile environment is important as the organisation undergoes an agile transformation for commercial technologies.
• Coordinating with the business partners on identifying the business needs and managing the project/product delivery backlog and solution delivery processes.
• Leading a multi-functional team of associates across various technology services in Business Applications (SAP, SFDC and associated technologies) and demonstrate team leadership expertise to develop and support a specialist technology team of Solution Architect and IT analysts
• Managing 3rd party partners, systems integrators to add value to expansion and optimization programmes as we scale to support hypergrowth
• Collaborating regularly with other teams to deliver solutions and improve the value of our investment in strategic ERP (SAP) and CRM/CPQ (SFDC), leading strategic project workshops for scoping/sizing of key initiatives
• Enterprise Architecture focus to ensure robust design governance processes are implemented at a local and global level that allow effective and efficient ways of working

Required skills:We are looking for candidates with the following skills and experience: Bachelor’s degree with 14+ years of experience OR

Master’s/Doctoral degree with 12+ years of experience

AND 4+ years managing people

• Experience in Global ERP (SAP) and CRM (SFDC) implementations
• Experience in IT strategy definition and roadmap planning
• Experience in Digital with B2B / B2G commerce products/applications
• Business experience, ideally in Business Systems or IT Management. Broad business experience internally and within the vertical industry is desirable.
• Five or more years of progressive leadership experience in leading multi-functional teams and enterprise wide programs
• Experience in integrating sophisticated, cross-corporate processes and information strategies, and/or crafting strategic metrics and scorecards.
• Strategy and management consulting experience a plus
• Full Life Cycle SAP and commercial systems experience (ERP, e-Commerce, e-Procurement, CPQ, Contract Lifecycle Management, …) with experience in deployment in Pan-European/Global manufacturing and pharmaceutical or heavily regulated industry a plus
• Proven experience in an IT business facing role with an excellent eye for business and interpersonal skills; able to work across business lines at a senior level to influence and effect change to achieve common goals.
• Outstanding analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to explain digital concepts and technologies to business leaders, and business concepts to technologists.
• Successful deployment of technology solutions in large companies
• Experience in building high performing, successful IT teams
• Strong experience in and knowledge of key integration points between SAP ERP, Salesforce CRM/CPQ, e-commerce platforms, …
• Exposure to SAP S/4HANA a plus, general knowledge of upcoming changes with the SAP S/4HANA roadmap, coupled with an eagerness to learn and grow expertise in the latest technologies
