Embedded Software Engineer (Kernel, Device Drivers)

Job DescriptionAt NI Leuven, we design high performance power conversion systems for testing electric vehicle drivetrain components, such as motors, batteries and inverters. These systems are comprised of modular hardware and a variety of software applications such as distributed controllers, data logging and processing, and configuration management. These applications are constantly evolving as new requirements arise.

As an embedded software engineer, you will be involved in the entire development cycle of these software applications, from project start through development to verification, release and deployment.

You

• A proficient all-round programmer that can develop in C and Python
• Experienced Linux user and are familiar with the kernel, device drivers, configuration, etc.
• Write clean, maintainable code and related test, documentation, and packaging
• Supporting others in using your software and in solving issues and bugs
• Eager to learn and to continuously improve your skills, also in adjacent domains like hardware
• Working in an agile environment with short sprints and doing multiple things in parallel
• Master degree in software engineering or equivalent through experience
