To accommodate our growth, support the strengthening of (financial) reporting and controls as well as a series of digitalization projects (ERP, CPM, P2P,…), we are looking for a dynamic, hands-on Finance Manager in Nipro Medical Europe (NME).

About the Role

As Finance Manager, you will report directly to the CFO Medical and be responsible for the finance and accounting oversight of the Sales & Distribution activities of Nipro Medical Europe stretched over the Belgian holdco (consolidated revenue 329 Mio EUR) and 13 sales subsidiaries. You will coordinate and direct the local accounting teams and work closely together with the various business stakeholders such as Sales, Operations, Tax, Treasury ,…

What you’ll do

• Lead and control the finance & accounting activities of the NME holdco including a team of 3 GL Accountants (with direct reporting lines)
• Lead and control the finance & accounting of a subset of NME sales and distribution subsidiaries ensuring professional finance and accounting standards are maintained and improved in line with the group policies, guidelines and best practices.
• Oversee / support / coordinate the annual strategic plan, budget and monthly forecasting process for the Sales and Distribution offices and activities
• Oversee and ensure correct and timely monthly, quarterly and annual reporting (P&L/BS/CF) for the Sales and Distribution scope both on an individual and consolidated basis
• Monitor, coordinate and lead an efficient annual financial and JSOX audit process by means of planning and liaising with internal and external auditors and the local finance responsibles
• Monitor, coordinate and ensure that the regulatory requirements of all statutory, financial & tax bodies are met in close coordination with the corporate finance team
• Streamline and automate financial processes and systems in concert with other stakeholders within the organization in order to increase focus on added-value activities
• Improve, update and implement all necessary finance & accounting practices, policies, manuals and procedures in line with corporate policies and guidelines
• Perform all tasks in accordance with ISO quality and JSOX requirements, whilst always taking Nipro values into account

What You’ll Need

• A Masters degree in a Finance related field
• At least 10 years of relevant Finance/Accounting/Controlling experience in an international matrix environment, preferably in sales and distribution setting
• A solid understanding of BEGAAP and IFRS (9, 15, 16,…)
• A strategic mindset, commercial awareness and excellent communication and relationship building skills with an ability to prioritize, negotiate and work with a variety of internal and external stakeholders
• Be strong people manager with high integrity inspiring trust and confidence – ability to coach, develop and motivate direct and indirect reports aimed at enhancing performance and improving processes within the whole organization
• A penchant for technology as well as thorough; knowledge & understanding of accounting and reporting software (knowledge of SAP 4HANA, SAP Group Reporting, Sap Analytics Cloud is a plus)
• Master change management with a minimum amount of noise
• Thrive in an entrepreneurial environment where innovative and out-of-the-box thinking is must
• Be proficient in Microsoft Office
• Have solid planning and time management skills
• A strong knowledge of English is must, any additional other languages are a plus
