Role Purpose:
- To define & recommend the Etex Supply Planning processes focusing on mid-term capacity planning & allocation, S&OP, RCCP/MPS and detail scheduling for execution. Will be responsible for harmonising, deploying and coordinating planning process and data requirements with functions, regions and Division to align the business to a common set of assumptions to support balancing decision to align Supply and Demand, to honour SLAs & meet customer requirements and business objective (I.e.working capital). Drive continuous improvement in Planning processes & Training of the SC Community to aim at delivering excellence in Planning. A key partner in the journey on Integrated Business Planning.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Supply Chain Development
- Contribute to the development of the global SCM Strategy and the alignment to support the Business model of the divisions from a supply planning point of view
- Deploy Global SCM strategy and objectives through divisional & regional action plan to achieve targeted improvements and savings, in terms of supply flexibility, inventory levels, lead-time and delivery service
- Assess and manage the Supply Chain risks through S&OP and Extended Value Stream controls with appropriate actions and escalation when required
- Part of the Etex Integrated Business Planning Journey moving to rolling forecasts, actively drive the design of the adequate supply planning process including inputs management (from Demand Plans, portfolio Management, Commercial & Marketing Activities from KSI to tactial promotions), Planning Horizon, RACI, adequate planning granularity & bucketing to drive management by exception and ensure the supply chain is set up to support the business growth and deliver customer satisfaction.
Organisational Development and Leadership
- The role will have dual responsibility with on one side driving support, training & education of various stakeholders, supporting project management mode to drive implementation within the Divisions/Regions/Clusters/Countries. On the other side a more operational responsibility for enabling the divisional S&Ops, leading central Supply Scheduling team for central coordination of activities where applicable.
- Provide functional and technical support to Divisions/Regions/ countries / plants / SC Directors and Plant SC Managers as required
- Develop internal (SC) and external partnerships to ensure all relevant stakeholders are aligned with SCM strategy and deployment model
- Define key roles within Planning Process to harmonise across regions/plants, to refine where applicable the planning model and support people development plan for SC team members
- Develop Training Programs for SC experts in Planning in collaboration with SC Leaders
- Lead & develop the central S&OP team and Supplier Scheduling team. Run the Supply Planning process at divisional level. Provide the relevant scenario with the key business partner (Finance…) to facilitate Management Decision.
- Manage the change management and communication with the various stakeholder to drive the implementation of a robust supply planning process integrated in the overall business planning process.
Supply Chain Systems & Processes
- As BPO for Planning, owns the process design, data set requirements and organisation needed to run the planning process in the most efficient and effective way to support the various supply models.
- Lead and support where applicable the SCM activities to ensure effectiveness of both process and outcomes (Eg through coordination of S&OP, MPS/DDMRP, Master Data Mgmnt, MRP…)
- Develop and utilize appropriate SCM and Business Intelligence tools to drive process compliance and highlight exceptions
- Ensure the processes, RACI, organization drive accuracy of information and material flow across the extended value stream
- Lead & coordinate the selection and implementation of the right suite of tools to run the planning processes
- Develop and implement set of tool kits (reports, templates,…) to determine inventory targets and positioning in close collaboration with BPO Finance/Controlling and BPO Network to ensure the flow is protected to ensure customer satisfaction and effective use of working capital
Continuous Improvement
- Lead and execute a Continuous Improvement plan aligned to Group/Divisional and Regional strategy
- Lead and coordinate key Planning SCM programmes and projects
- Utilise effective measurements and reporting of SCM processes and outcomes in order to highlight performance and drive improvement
- Support collaboration and Best practice sharing with other areas of the business in order to maintain perspective and further improve SCM processes
- Participate or lead Plants/Regions audit against Etex Supply Chain Excellence Model in Planning processes, follow-up on Planning Road Map and CI Plans, Performance Tracker
Performance
- Implement the relevant suites of KPIs to measure the reliability and efficiency of the planning process to deliver business objectives and customer satisfaction & added value. i.e. Planning Accuracy, Inventory Management Dash boards vs. targets (range), CI Tracker to sustainably and continuously drive improvement & performance, Customer Satisfaction/Delivery Performance
Formal Qualifications: Bachelor degree, Post Graduate qualification (desired)
APICS CPIM/CSCP or equivalent (desired)
Previous experience required:
- Information flow expertise, good understanding of BI tools and ERP systems (SAP Modules: SD, PP, MM, WM)
- Track records in deploying and running Long term capacity Planning/allocation, S&OP process in centralised international environment. Plant experience in SC Management and Planning (S&OP MPS, MRP, planning master Data management)
- Proficient with use of planning tools and supporting BI. Key user level for PP / APO Module in SAP will be a plus.
This role is global and reports to the Head of Group Supply Chain
