JJSC Digital and Data Science (D&DS) team has been a leader in envisioning, developing, and deploying innovative data science products and platforms creating significant value across JJSC. D&DS capabilities and products include AI/Machine Learning, Optimization, Simulation and Digital Twin, IoT, Natural Language Processing, Image Analytics, and End-to-End Connected Visibility — all built with cutting-edge digital technology on modern platforms. These products and platforms have helped teams across JJSC empower our employees with deep insights and transform the ways we serve our customers. Our capabilities are engineered for scalability, running across the full lifecycle of data – data generation, ingestion, curation, analysis, visualization, data science, and connecting back to underlying applications for closed-loop implementation.
We are recruiting for a Head, Digital & Data Science Product Management in the D&DS team. The position can be based in any J&J office in the U.S. or Europe.
As the Head, Digital & Data Science Product Management for a global business segment / function, you will be responsible for partnering closely with the segment / function supply chain leaders to define, prioritize, and deploy the portfolio of use cases which can be solved at scale by leveraging different digital and data science platforms. You will shape and lead the discussions to create a capability-suite that enables transformative value for our customers and business. You will define and evangelize the data science and visualization product vision, strategy, and roadmap that are closely aligned with business strategy and priorities. You will work closely with product engineering team to productize innovative practices and tools that help organizations transform their operations and increase their velocity. You will drive broad digital stack adoption across the segment / function to deliver exponential value at scale and speed. You will also create and nurture strong collaboration with internal and external partners and stakeholders. Collaborating with our partners, product engineering team and JJT, you will bring some of the most innovative never-been-done-before capabilities to JJSC.
Key Responsibilities
- Define data science and visualization product vision, strategy, and build short / long term roadmap to enable transformative value in the defined global segment / function.
- Partner closely with business leaders in the defined global segment / function and drive alignment on digital and data science strategy, priorities, deployment roadmap, LRFP and BP.
- Lead high-impact digital and data science portfolio of use cases (“Book of Work”), deploy and scale the advanced products and platforms in partnership with segment / function stakeholders, product engineering team, and JJT.
- Develop a deep understanding and empathy of the customer and stakeholder landscape. Build the voice of the users into product features.
- Own and drive the digital and data science product lifecycle from envision to deploy and operate – Transform delivering projects into full-stack product management by building platform components.
- Partner with business team to identify new opportunities, gather requirements, develop and activate business cases.
- Lead and grow a strong team of digital product managers, continuously raising the bar on performance, technical depth, product management results, and people leadership skills.
- Champion and drive large strategic and complex projects, with executive visibility and many critical dependencies – Define and build your own scorecard to continuously monitor and analyze roadmap durability, backlog health, velocity, quality, throughput, product performance and use the data to drive improvements
- Proactively and effectively communicate product strategy, roadmap, deployment status, value realization, and portfolio results with senior management.
- Create and nurture partnerships and alliances to expand our product footprint and speed up time-to-market for customers. Advance collaboration model with segment / function teams and JJT.
EducationQualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Technology, Computer Science with a focus on data science / advanced analytics / AI / Machine Learning, or related field
- MBA or Advanced degree in these fields is preferred.
RequiredExperience and Skills:
- 12+ years of experience as a digital transformation or data / data science product management leader for global products / platforms, with focus on stakeholder management, product strategy, prioritizing the use cases with business and galvanizing the organization.
- Good understanding of global supply chain and digital use cases which can unlock significant value in terms of strengthening operations, transforming customer experiences, generating cost saving, revenue lift, capex reduction and margin improvement.
- Proven ability to work cross functionally and build partnership to deliver results and influence change in a highly matrix organization across complex ecosystems.
- Proven track record of innovation and launching digital and data / data science products that achieve success and impact.
- Proven ability to drive, manage, and influence multiple, competing priorities and projects in a fast-paced environment where continuous innovation is desired.
- Demonstrated ability to develop business cases and track business benefits, including calculating return on investment (ROI), P&L savings, cash flow impact, and other key business metrics in supply chain.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to simplify complex topics for broad audiences across levels.
- Data-driven decision making and quantitative analysis skills. Familiar with machine learning, AI, advanced analytics and visualization applications.
- Ability to manage senior, high performing staff.
- Energetic, self-driven, passionate, accountable, keen on continuous learning.
Preferred
- Strong experience working in or with a complex global supply chain organization spanning across all functions (plan, source, make, deliver and quality) is preferred. Experience working in healthcare is a plus.
- Experience in working and collaborating with supply chain senior leadership on use cases which can be enabled using digital and data science.
- Direct experience of working with product engineering teams in enabling use cases using digital products in iterative or Agile methodologies.
