While it is not an absolute requirement, we value prior internship experience in Investment Banking or any adjacent field (e.g. consulting, transaction services).

Our internships provide you with the opportunity to work on a variety of projects, from acquisitions and sale auctions through to IPOs, across various industries, within Benelux but also including numerous cross-border situations. We work in close collaboration with a number of teams across the Group.

As an intern, you will help us deliver value to our clients on their most important strategic decisions and transactions, from beginning to closing. This entails company and sectorial research, preparation of key documents, financial modelling, and much more. As you gain experience, you will gain increased responsibilities, including hands-on work on live transactions, with the steepest learning curve a young graduate can expect.

The position is based in Brussels on the BNPP Paribas Fortis premises.

RECRUITING PROCESS

After careful review of your application, you might be invited to a first round of interviews and, if successful, a second and final round, potentially resulting in an offer to join us for an internship.

First round

During the first round, you will typically meet 2 to 3 bankers (Analysts, Associates or Vice-Presidents) for one-to-one interviews.

In These Interviews, We Will Assess Whether You Would Be a Good Addition To Our Team By Discussing The Two Following Topics

• Experience interview: geared towards your motivation to join our team, your past achievements and your aspirations
• Technical interview: focused on your business sense, understanding of general financial and accounting concepts and approach to solving problems. This could take the form of a business case

We aim to provide you with feedback as soon as possible regarding the outcome of your first round.

Final round

The final round consists of 2 to 3 interviews with senior bankers (Directors or Managing Directors). The content of the interviews will be similar to the first round, with increased focus on soft skills.
