R&D Test Engineer
We want to strengthen our team and have therefore started the recruitment of an R&D Test Engineer. You will contribute to Single-Use product development from concept to implementation at the manufacturing site.
This position is part of the Research and Development department located in Hoegaarden, Belgium. We are the go-to team for customers who want to produce and protect what matters.
You will be a part of the R&D Single-Use Design Team, in charge of product verification and validation. If you thrive in a multifunctional role and want to work to build a world-class R&D organization—read on.
In this role, you will play a crucial part in new product development and product improvements, from early-stage development to production and point of use.
You will have the opportunity to:
- Develop new test methods and validate new test equipment
- Define test conditions and protocols, with mentorship from team members
- Set up and execute verification and validation runs
- Document results, examine data, write reports, and present conclusions
- Provide constructive feedback towards the development team based on test results
- Support coordination of the lab spaces, ensuring good housekeeping and alignment to safety rules
- Participate in and contribute to Kaizen (continuous improvement) events
The crucial requirements of the job include:
- A Bachelor’s degree in biological science, biomedical engineering, mechanical engineering, or another relevant area of education is required. A Master’s degree is preferred.
- No previous experience required. A minimum of two years of relevant professional experience is preferred.
- Knowledge of laboratory techniques and measurement methods
- Proficiency in writing technical reports based on generated data
- Fluency in written and spoken English
It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:
- Biotech products and processes
- Communication in Dutch or French
- 3D CAD
