REMOTE Data Science and Engineering Intern

Your Role and Responsibilities

You will get to work remotely with a diverse team of experienced IBM professionals across Europe and intern peers. A personal mentor will work with you to understand your goals, to define your project, its integration with the overall product and provide you recurring feedback on your progress. If you chose to reside in Netherlands, we can offer 3-6 month internship. For Belgian based interns we can only offer 3-month internships.

Candidates need to be located or willing to relocate to the Netherlands or Belgium for the period of the internship. The work is performed remotely.

What will you do?

• Work on an agile team
• Develop new or improve an existing model for evaluating or assessing talent
• Deploy your model to a modern cloud environment
• Research and present new techniques and technologies including from AWS, Azure, etc
• Develop innovative approaches to solve problems in HR and Staffing
• Gain exposure to the process of identifying and solving client problems
• Develop documentation and tests
• Help apply for patents where applicable
• Develop professional connections to IBMers around the world
• Have access to the IBM learning platform and accelerate your career

ImportantPlease note that an internship can only be executed in the framework of your education, and you need to be registered as a student at a European University for the full duration of the internship. We provide selected students with an IBM agreement and are unable to sign university agreements.

This internship should last for a period of 60 working days (approximately 3 months).

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

Demonstrable experience of developing and applying data science concepts outside of the classroom

Hands-on experience with NLP

Intermediate to Expert Python Knowledge

Hands-on experience with data structures and databases

Fluent English (reading, writing and speaking) is required.

Preferred Technical And Professional Expertise

A Computer Science Degree is preferred but not a requisite
