BACKGROUND AND CONTEXT

The client seeks the services of an experienced Social media / Community manager intra-muros (contracting authorities’ premises), aimed at supporting the client in all its social media activities on different channels (Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Youtube), including daily curation, planning, developing dissemination of content and promotion strategies. The social media manager will also be in charge of regular reporting and performance analysis on channels and campaigns and of developing and implementing a community management strategy.

The Social media / Community manager intra-muros would contribute to:

You will:

• The digital communications activities, including projects & campaign implementation and coordination, analysis and tracking of social media campaigns, detecting of trends and providing support to EU Delegations around the world;

• Developing and implementing social media strategies and specific campaigns (organic and paid). She/he will work closely with the Strategic Communication Officers of the Division, Task Forces, the Spokespersons’ Service, the relevant Council and Commission services and EU Delegations.

• Creating content for the social media platforms: she/he will contribute to the daily maintenance of social media accounts: from creation of visuals to writing captions for Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn and YouTube;

• Liaising with audio-visual services of Council, Commission, EU Parliament and other partners. This includes making the required arrangements to ensure LIVE streaming of events on the social media;

• Analyzing and reporting statistical data based on specific KPIs and using specific social media monitoring tools such as Socialbakers and Talkwalker

• Providing support to the EU Delegations on social media. This implies also being involved in trainings to colleagues from Delegations and HQ;

• Maintain online interaction with the social media audience by organizing and developing specific community management strategies

• Contribute to the drafting and implementation of a new social media strategy;

You have:

• A very good knowledge of social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, Youtube, Instragram, LinkedIn, Youtube) – knowledge of TikTok is a strong asset;

• Demonstrate a clear understanding of integrated digital communication (digital campaigns, web/social media content production, advertising, online marketing, web/social media management and audiovisual content development); demonstrate expertise is social media marketing/boosting tools and managing a budget to be spent across channels on promoting social media posts;

• Have a good knowledge of social media management tools such as Socialbakers, TweetDeck and Creator Studio, and media monitoring tools such as TalkWalker;

• Demonstrate experience with community management and working with influencers;

• Demonstrate a very good knowledge of online communication;

• Demonstrate solid experience in project coordination and editorial coordination;

• Excellent written and oral communication skills in English are required (native speaker equivalent) and a good working knowledge of French and/or Spanish would be an asset. Knowledge of other languages is an advantage;

• Have a very good knowledge of graphic design tools (ie Photoshop, Canva…)
