Job Qualifications:

  • Requires sound written and verbal communication skills; must be able to communicate proficiently to a non-technical audience.
  • Standard desktop support skills: Troubleshooting, installing and repairing, desktops/laptops, a wide range of printing devices, multi-platform mobile devices, scan guns, etc.
  • Ability to provide support for file servers and provide remote hands for network changes. Triage a multitude of technical issues that arise in an office/warehouse environment.
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks within a high-pressure environment using creative problem-solving skills for timely resolution of information systems issues.
  • Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
  • Adept at reading, writing, and interpreting technical documentation and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to conduct research into software/hardware issues and new products as required.

Educational Requirements:

  • Four-year degree strongly preferred, with an emphasis in information systems-related coursework and/or at least three years’-equivalent work experience.


Systems Administrator Europe – Job Summary:

  • The Systems Administrator Europe is responsible for support for a multitude of platforms (desktops, servers, and network), and is expected to handle different software and hardware needs of computers, servers, networks, and users, apply logic to quickly solve technical issues, and provide great customer service to all internal customers.
  • This role is expected to develop and maintain a vast technical knowledge to remediate technical issues for both hardware and software with minimal supervision.

Job Duties:

  • Provide server, desktop, and network support, including operating systems maintenance, network troubleshooting, application maintenance and ensure Belgium-based systems adhere to IT security, user access, and configuration policies.
  • Work closely with other corporate, division, and facility technical personnel to coordinate the implementation and ongoing support of systems physically hosted at the Belgium data center and facility location.
  • Monitor and diagnose server-related issues, provide support for incidents that cannot be resolved by the USA desktop support team or Systems Engineer, and coordinate installation of new equipment for Belgium projects.
  • Install and support server and desktop technologies and Belgium equipment including operating system maintenance, application maintenance, image archive, and disaster recovery.
  • Design, configure and administer company-based systems and help support maintenance windows.
  • Work with System Engineer to design and implement processes that consolidate pushes through local and company-based systems.
  • Design, configure and administer Belgium-based cloud backup solution to ensure proper backup of all systems at the Belgium data center.
  • Provide support services to monitor, backup, and diagnose servers and storage equipment and recommend corrective action to failing server and desktop equipment.
  • Provide on-call support (24×7) to assist with troubleshooting, escalation, and recovery of failing equipment.
  • Follow safety requirements.
  • Ensure that company safety policies as well as federal, state, and local safety and environmental regulations are observed.
  • Must have a complete understanding of the company’s policies, SOPs, QPs, EPs, HACCP, and cGMP to ensure quality, safety, efficiency, and sustainability.
  • Must adhere to all company policies.
  • Examine documents, materials, and products and monitor work processes to assess completeness, accuracy, and conformance to standards and specifications.
  • Follow all SOPs in each area and support.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned by the Director of Infrastructure and/or designee.
