Team manager – Design Engineering

You will be leading a team of Designers, Design Engineers and Data Stewards (6-10 individuals) with the goal of ensuring that the perfect production can take place in terms of design and quality. Your role will be to mentor the team in accomplishing critical metrics within the drawing process, including part number set up while giving support to operations on documentation constrains. You must understand and apply procedures and concepts within your own area of expertise but also from the other areas interacting with Sales, Manufacturing and Quality departments, primarily.

You will also have the opportunity to :

• Accompany daily activities of the Product Engineering Team, set priorities for your team to ensure task completion; coordinate work activities with other supervisors
• Responsible for talent management to ensure the continued development of the team members
• Ensure harmonization of products manufactured at own site and at other Single Used Technology (SUT) sites worldwide
• Support and collaborate with customers on technical/quality related issues in conjunction with Quality and SLS
• Contribute to budget/resource setting operated within budget
• Have a strong focus on continuous improvement of products and processes
• Use standard methodologies and knowledge of other sites or external business issues to improve products or services
• Apply Danaher Problem Solving Process and use A3 actions plans to solve complex problems; takes a new perspective on existing solutions; exercises judgment based on the analysis of multiple sources of information
• Support and/or lead investigations to resolve customer complaints and complete corrective and preventive actions

Do you have a Danaher Business System skillset acquired at the highest level, and therefore cross functional available to mentor, facilitate and lead projects on global level within Danaher ? Having 5+ years of proven experience as an engineering Leader and manufacturing/MTO (Make to order) environment this could be your next career step ! Do not hesitate to apply if you have a Degree in Mechanical Engineering, strong leaderships skills, team working spirit and cross functional cooperation mindset.

Proficiency in English is required, Dutch is a plus ! Having an incredible verbal and written communication and presentation skills are strongly recommended.
