Agricultural Collection Specialist – Deveron Corp.

Deveron is seeking an individual who is highly motivated and looking for a full-time position with the potential for growth in the Precision Ag Field.

Job Expectations:

• Hours will depend on the season, weather, location, and jobs
• Willing to work weekends, holidays, and long hours with the opportunity to have a flexible work schedule
• Willing to travel within a Province
• Experience operating all terrain vehicles (ATV’s and/or UTV’s)
• Mechanically inclined, experience in performing routine maintenance and minor repairs
• Ability to life up to 50lbs
• Must have a valid driver’s and a clean driving history
• Ability and experience operating large motor vehicles (pick up truck with a trailer)
• Willing to work in varying temperature/weather climates (cold, snow, rain, wind, heat)
• Must be organized, detailed oriented, self-starter and physically fit (this job requires you to work independently)
• Familiarity with Precision Ag technology, techniques and Agricultural would be considered an asset
• Must have secure location (at home base) to store/park equipment
• Average computer skills including email, excel, Google Drive, google earth, handheld GPS units, GIS software, and must be willing to learn multiple software platforms
• Advanced RPAS/ Part 107 license considered an asset (must be willing to obtain license)
• Experience with Rotary and fixed wing drones considered an asset
• Soil sampling experience considered an asset

Job Responsibilities/Tasks:

• Conduct data collection operation as assigned by Dispatch in a timely and efficient manner. Data collection may include but not limited to:

• Soil Sampling
• Plant Tissue
• Installations
• Boundary Mapping
• Crop Mapping
• Drone Imaging
• Crop Scouting

• Maintenance and daily care of company equipment and complying with all company policies and procedures
• Communication daily with soil sampling coordinator and dispatch
• Customer service- interactions by emails and phone with clients
• Administration- daily reporting and tracking information related to all assigned jobs
• Proper labelling and handling of samples
• Timely delivery for analysis for samples
• IT- Data Management- creating files in GIS software, uploading to website platform

Schedule:

• Hours can range from 20-50 plus hours a week (dependent on many factors including weather/season)
• Ability to have a flexible work schedule providing jobs are completed
• Daily Administration tasks are completed remotely (no office to report to)

Salary: $18.00-$22.00 per hour
