Attendant – Corporate Events

Job Summary:
The incumbent assists with coordinating, organizing and delivering a wide range of services for corporate events.
Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist with delivering services for events, such as: catering, signage, displays, special needs requirements, audio-visual equipment, printing and security.
  • Assist with event set up, take down and clean up.
  • Gather event resources: displays, equipment, sound systems, and supplies.
  • Provide administration support such as compiling event inquires, updating invitation database, preparation and processing applications.
  • Assist with determining appropriate supplies and materials required for events.
  • Rent or purchase supplies and materials required for events.
  • Liaise with vendors.
  • Follow, so far as is reasonably practicable, established safety procedures and standards.
  • Other related duties.

Job Requirements:
Working Conditions:
Majority of the work is performed off site at various facilities. Evening and weekend work is required.
Knowledge and Skills:

  • Grade 12.
  • Good communication and problem solving skills.
  • Good organizational skills, prioritizing and ability to work independently and in a team based environment.
  • Class 5 driver’s license.

An equivalent combination of education, training and experience may be considered.
Examples of Equipment to Operate:
General office equipment including computer skills to operate software programs related to work processing, spreadsheet, electronic mail, audio-visual equipment, etc.
