Board Member – Cool Arts Society

Cool Arts is looking for new members to join our board!

Cool Arts is a non-profit society dedicated to providing fine arts opportunities for adults with developmental disabilities living in the Central Okanagan. We are looking for board members with experience or education in: Media/Marketing, Data Specialist, HR, Fund Development.

Cool Arts began 17 years ago as a local, grassroots organization and is now a registered charity with a studio in Kelowna’s Rotary Centre for the Arts. Over the years, Cool Arts has grown exponentially. On a weekly basis Cool Arts now provides a studio for up to 100 member artists to create art with support from professional artists. Cool Arts creates a space for artists with diversabilities to boost their confidence and personal and artistic growth. We rely on hundreds of volunteer hours every year to make all our classes, special projects, and exhibitions possible.

To accommodate our continued growth, our non-profit society is transitioning from a working board to a governance board. During this transition period we require additional skilled and experienced volunteer board members to help strengthen our foundation and support our growth.

Part-time hours: 2-3 per week

Salary: $1.00 per year

Schedule:
