We have an immediate opening for a Body Shop Foreperson at our Kemptville, Ontario location. Reporting to the General Manager, the Shop Foreperson is required to provide both technical and administrative support to Collision Centre personnel during the day-to-day business operations, maintaining service quality, assisting in profitability and ensuring safe work practices are adhered to.

Key Responsibilities:
- Providing both technical and administrative support to body shop personnel.
- Prepares a list of equipment, supplies and repairs required and reviews with the Manager as needed.
- Spot-checks repairs to ensure quality and timely completion. Performs quality control inspections on all completed repairs and painted surfaces. Assists on shop floor when possible.
- Ensures repair estimates are completed in a timely manner.
- Works with insurance adjusters to ensure accident damages are completed and all damages billed/recovered.
- Communicates with the Manager and Administrator on a timely basis, to schedule shop work efficiently and check on job status as often as necessary.
- Maintains contact with customers on a timely basis and in a professional manner.
- Motivates, counsels and monitors the performance of technicians.
- Ensures that technicians follow warranty material disposition procedures.
- Reviews technicians’ repair orders to ensure all information is complete and accurate before the next job is assigned to each technician – including customer billed hours, list of parts by operation.
- Keeps up to date with the most current information, through training and service letters on technological advances from our Dealership vendors.
- Complies with all relevant Health & Safety, and Environmental policies and procedures
- Responsible for paint booth maintenance and cleanliness.
Requirements:
- Licensed 310B Auto Body and Collision Damage Repairer certification.
- Licensed 310T Truck and Coach Technician certification.
- Minimum one-year experience in an Automotive Autobody repair facility.
- Leadership ability and team building skills to effectively supervise staff.
- Proficient with software and computers.
- Highly motivated individual; resourceful and self-starter.
- Strong interpersonal skills and customer focus.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Valid G Class Driver’s License.
- Criminal Record Check.
