As a Police Information Check Representative, you will provide front-line customer service and information to internal and external applicants requiring a Police Information Check, Record Suspension or Vulnerable Sector fingerprint processing. Primary duties include:
- Assist customers and facilitate the application process for Police Information Checks (PIC) and other related services.
- Handle cash including financial balancing, reconciliation, and reporting on a daily and monthly basis.
- Collect fingerprints for Vulnerable Sector Searches (VSS) using Livescan technology and/or hardcopy inked fingerprinting techniques; ensure proper processes are followed, including verification of applicant information.
- Provide general administrative support for the Police Information Check Unit (PICU) as required.
Qualifications
- A High School diploma or equivalency (e.g., GED) and a minimum of 1 year of relevant experience.
- Previous customer service experience in a high volume, front counter environment.
- A minimum of 35 WPM typing speed and a beginner skill level in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) is required.
- Experience with cash handling, Point-of-Sale, financial balancing, reconciliation and reporting is also required.
- Prior experience using Livescan and/or hardcopy inked fingerprinting techniques will be considered an asset.
- Success in this position requires excellent communication skills, efficiency and thoroughness, service orientation, stress tolerance and team building and teamwork. The ability to build effective relationships while maintaining a focus on results.

- Successful applicants must provide proof of qualifications. Education obtained from out of country must have or be able to obtain, an Education Credential Assessment (ECA) for confirmation of equivalent credentials.
