Cashier/Customer Service – Cheese Boutique

Responsibilities

  • Greet customers when entering or leaving the store
  • Answers routine billing questions/issues from customers.
  • Scan goods and ensure pricing is accurate
  • Process credit and debit cards, helping customers use processing equipment.
  • Count money back to customer in an accurate and concise manner.
  • Inform customers about services available and assesses customer needs.
  • Examine products being purchased for damages and price accuracy.
  • Resolve customer complaints, guide them and provide relevant information
  • Coordinate with staff for product inquiries and price checks.
  • Resolve escalated issues with angry customers.
  • Help stock shelves in proximity of the cash register.
  • Issue receipts, change or gift certificates
  • Redeem gift certificates
  • Cross-sell products and introduce new ones
  • Maintain clean and tidy checkout areas
  • Bag, box or gift-wrap packages if need be

Requirements

  • Work experience as a Retail Cashier or in a similar role in sales
  • Basic PC knowledge
  • Familiarity with electronic equipment, like cash register and POS
  • Good math skills
  • Strong communication and time management skills
  • Customer satisfaction-oriented
  • High school degree

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: From $15.00 per hour
