Food Service Associate – Dishwasher – Dana Hospitality

You will want to work for Dana because we have developed an industry reputation for exceptional cuisine and excellent customer service.

We are looking for a Dishwasher to join our team in Northern Ontario. This is a pivotal role within our team and the successful candidate will be looking for growth opportunities while being passionate about food. This position will require a schedule of 28 days on, 10 days off, and lodging will be provided at this dry camp environment.

The position will…

• Conduct daily inspections of work areas and keep all work areas clean and sanitary
• Load, operate and empty dishwasher, and put dishes away
• Maintain food handling and sanitation standards; understand and implement Dana’s Health & Safety Standards
• Interact with suppliers, distributors, clients, and guests in a positive and welcoming manner
• Clean the fridge, freezer and other kitchen equipment as directed by the Chef Manager
• Maintain highest standards of cleanliness in all areas of the kitchen
• Understand and comply with loss prevention policies and procedures

The competencies and qualifications needed…

• Certifications as required to comply with local Health codes
• 1-2 years foodservice facility experience
• Knowledge of basic sanitation requirements and food handling safety standards
• Understanding of food waste control
• Good customer and associate relation skills
• Good communication skills (verbal, listening, writing, presentation)
• Knowledge of governmental regulations and safety standards (WCB, MSDS)
• Ability to lift (10kg.), pull & push heavy loads & be exposed to extreme temperatures
