We are seeking a Part-Time Receptionist for weekend shifts in our Hanover showroom. This position works in partnership with sales staff and managers within Smitty’s and is a key point of coordination for the company. This position greets customers, answering their questions either in person or by phone, performing all front desk and data entry routines in a timely and accurate manner. The retail furniture is a bustling industry and we’re looking for someone who enjoys working with people and who is able to keep pace in a dynamic environment.
START DATE AND TERM
Expected start date: as soon as possible.
RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES
Create a pleasant and professional selling atmosphere by answering the phone and greeting the customers courteously, efficiently and professionally.
Co-ordinate with warehouse and shipping to assist with customer pick-ups.
Perform daily reconciliations of all credit card, debit and cash payments in our company POS system.
Provide customers with updates on orders and process payments upon request.
Maintain the flow of in store customer traffic by monitoring the flow of in store traffic and notifying sales staff accordingly.
Manage incoming email inquiries and live chat inquiries by responding or allocating to sales staff accordingly.
HOURS
Weekend hours are Saturday 845AM – 5PM and Sundays 1045AM – 5PM; no evenings.
This role may lead to other responsibilities or roles within the company as we grow our product lines and overall traffic.
SKILLS OF THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE
Excellent interpersonal relationship skills, customer experience and communication abilities.
Comfortable multi-tasking, problem-solving, and communicating with all customers or staff.
Basic math and accounting skills.
Proficient keyboarding and computer skills.
Excellent attention to detail.

WAGE Rate:
$15 – $17 per hour dependent on experience.
