Under the direct supervision of the Gaming Manager, the Gaming Attendant will be responsible for ensuring adherence to all policies and procedures through duties including processing jackpots, providing customer service and documenting transactions; all while contributing to a safe and welcoming work environment for all employees. Duties and Responsibilities Include:
- Welcoming, directing and serving guests promptly, professionally and positively
- Verifying and processing jackpots, short pays, and wallet pays; canceling credits and hand-pays; making change; clearing tilts and jams; and replenishing ticket inventory
- Conducting preventative maintenance on slot machines as required
- Distributing and monitoring Reserved signs
- Documenting and reconciling transactions and balancing a cash float
- Monitoring and reporting all irregular or suspicious activities
- Selling paper cards and helping to complete any other duties in preparation for the sessions
- Alerting the Caller to bingos prior to another number being called
- Calling winning bingos back to the caller
- Responding, resolving or escalating issues as required
- Communicating effectively with all appropriate operational departments to stay informed about programs and current promotions
- Building strong working relationships with guests and employees
- Complying with licensing laws, health and safety laws and other statutory regulations
- Maintaining a clean and tidy gaming floor as required
- Performing other duties as assigned or directed
Successful candidates will demonstrate the following qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 1 year of customer service experience and Serving It Right certification
- The ability to successfully obtain a Criminal Record Check through the Gaming Policy and Enforcement Branch (GPEB)
- Ability to exceed internal and external customer expectations through timely, effective and service oriented communication
- Professional attitude and appearance, strong interpersonal skills, and a team player
- Must be available to work all shifts including days, nights, weekends and statutory holidays
