Job Duties:

To provide complete and be responsible for the daily retrieval and storage of chemical compounds from inventory for weighing and packaging.

• Carefully and accurately weigh chemicals as required
• Follow instructions including using appropriate containers
• Inspect and verify product labelling before final packaging
• Work safely and follow company safety policy and procedures and completing regular quality product checks
• Prioritize chemical products to be picked according to First in First Out (FIFO)
• Report any loss or missing items to the Finished Goods supervisor
• Maintain proper organization of storage areas and update the inventory database as required

Requirements

• Spend varying amounts of time in walk-in freezers and fridge, where many chemicals are stored
• Working closely with chemical compounds including ones that are potentially toxic or classified as Dangerous Goods
• Required to wear Personal Protective Equipment at all times when handling chemicals
• Must be able to stand for a long period of time
• Must be able to lift objects weighing up to 25 kg/55 lbs
