Talent Acquisition is evolving and growing and as a result, we have some exciting opportunities. We are currently looking to hire
a Recruitment Specialist to join our team.
Reporting to the Manager Recruitment Services, the Recruitment Specialist will be responsible for creating exceptional
candidate experiences by providing corporate-wide recruitment and selection services for bargaining unit and confidential roles.
They are an experienced recruitment professional with a strong focus on candidate experience, attention to detail and a knack
for high volume recruitment delivery. They will be required to build collaborative relationships with hiring leaders across the
business and coach on recruitment best practices and internal processes.
Key responsibilities:
- Responsible for the recruitment of high volume mass postings and single incumbent roles
- Partners with hiring managers to create and execute recruitment and selection plans, including the facilitation of assessments
and testing; development of interview materials; identifying posting tactics; and working with the client to determine related
timelines
- Participates in the screening and selection of candidates, including ensuring completion of all pre-employment screening
- Uses established talent networks to source candidates and to support the talent pipeline and business needs
- Where needed, partners with vendors as required
- Researches and continuously builds knowledge of best practices, trends, developments, and advancements related to all
program and service areas. Contributes to recruitment related projects based on knowledge of best practices, to support
continuous improvement
- Contributes to the development of and maintains specific recruitment metrics and dashboards for high volume and medium
complexity recruitments
- Works closely with Recruitment Associates to execute on ICBC’s Talent Acquisition plan
- Supports ICBC’s Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Charter and initiatives through Community Partnerships and other sourcing
approaches demonstrating execution on our commitment to being an inclusive and accessible employer

- Experience delivering recruitment services for high volume and individual contributor roles
- Proven experience in full cycle recruitment for a large, complex environment
- Strong ability to work in a process oriented environment managing large amounts of data to ensure accuracy in the selection
process
- Experience viewing recruitment with an inclusive hiring lens
- Comfortable working with unit leaders, giving and receiving feedback, and working within a team to provide the right approach
to recruitment at ICBC
- Ability to assess multiple sources of information and make informed decisions independently
- Drive to improve candidate experience, and streamline and improve recruitment effectiveness
- Balances multiple, competing priorities, is self-directed, makes decisions and meet challenging deadlines whilst maintaining a
service mindset
- Post-secondary education in a relevant discipline (i.e. Human Resources, Business Administration, etc.)
- CPHR or professional recruitment designation or certification is an asset
- Completion of courses or learnings related to inclusive hiring practices would be a strong asset
