Overview:
The main purpose of the job is to support and assist the responsible manager to maintain a safe and clean environment. The key role would be to upkeep the cleanliness of the rooms to a high standard.
Responsibilities:
- Respond promptly to requests from guests and other departments.
- Fill cart with supplies and transport cart to assigned area.
- Enter guest rooms following procedures for gaining access and ensuring vacancy before entering.
- Replace guest amenities and supplies in rooms.
- Replace/remove dirty linens and towels with clean items.
- Make beds and fold towels.
- Remove trash and empty all waste bins.
- Clean the bathroom and toilet.
- Check that all applicants are present and in working order.
- Straighten desk items, furniture and appliances.
- Dust, polish and remove marks.
- Vacuum rooms and hallway.
- Report anything in need of repair or replacement to the appropriate person.
- Keep linen room and serviced areas clean and tidy at all time and keep cleaning materials safely stored.
- Maintain polite and good communication with coworkers and customers at all times.
- Follow all company and safety and security policies and procedures.
- To look out for the safety of yourself, co-workers and to follow all Health and Safety requirements in the workplace.
- Turn in all lost and found items.
- All other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Minimum 1 year of Room Attendant experience is preferred.
- Customer Service Skills: Room Attendants need proper customer service skills.
- Able to work as a part of a team.
- Able to work with little supervision.
- Ability to work calmly under pressure.
- Must be organized and detail oriented
- Must have working knowledge of the English language (verbal, written, reading)

- Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Fast-paced environment, Repetitive tasks, physically demanding, Attention to detail, Combination of sitting, standing, walking, Bending, crouching, kneeling. Must be able to lift/carry up to 30 lbs.
- Exposure to cleaning chemicals.
The schedule for this position may vary and would require the ability to work shift work, late nights, weekends and holidays.
