Job Description
Sales Executive will play a key role in developing and managing Canadian sales and developing sales channels with international partners.
The ideal candidate will bring in-depth expertise, knowledge, and understanding of the North American cannabis market to increase the Company’s market share through sourcing and developing key relationships and establishing networks with cannabis and cannabis-related organizations domestically and internationally.

Responsibilities :
- Drive and optimize the Company’s sales and marketing strategy and tactics, including drafting contracts, term sheets, and direct interaction with clients and industry stakeholders.
- Manage and develop department and project budgets.
- Lead efforts to identify and engage potential clients, assess value, negotiate service agreements and manage client relationships as well as continuously track and report results for management.
- Travel to various international jurisdictions with medical cannabis regimes to build relationships with potential partners.
- Ensure the Company has a deep and current understanding of the international cannabis industry and the challenges and opportunities specifically relevant to this industry.
- Maintain close working relationships with company operations management to ensure alignment between market opportunities, business development activities, and operations capabilities.
- Maintain a client relationship management (CRM) system to ensure visibility of sales pipelines and transactions.
- Work with the Company’s Project Management, Quality, Legal, and Regulatory functions to ensure project and sales execution.
- Manage, coach, and mentor a Business Development Team to achieve their potential and reach company sales goals.
- Identify new service offerings, business lines, technologies, and segments that present opportunities for company growth.
- Identify and evaluate partnership opportunities that enable the Company to expand its offerings and create incremental value for clients and shareholders.
Qualifications :
- 8+ years of experience in business development / sales, team management, key account management, strategic sales and marketing, and contract negotiation.
- Experience at a senior level, managing and mentoring teams, and driving the department for success.
- Bachelor of Arts, Science or Business Administration is required, MBA is preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to build long term business relationships in international jurisdictions.
- Specialist within cannabis sector preferred major companies, business models, stakeholders, regulatory environment, and products.
- Requires ability to travel and / or attend related industry events.
- Proven business development expertise within the cannabis industry is preferable.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to develop and maintain relationships with clients, partners, stakeholders, and colleagues.
- Experience in building and developing successful sales development teams.
