Position Overview:

Responsibilities:

  • Performs winter snow removal maintenance as required.
  • Empties garbage receptacles.
  • Litter and sharps removal.
  • Assists staff with the removal of graffiti.
  • Furniture set up/take down.
  • Performs inspections on related infrastructure.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Must be reliable with good attitude and employment record.
  • Must be willing to successfully complete a medical examination if required.
  • Must successfully complete required progression criteria as it relates to this job title.
  • Must have minimum Grade 12 diploma.
  • Must have demonstrated communication/customer service skills and successfully pass applicable testing with an ability to keep accurate written records.
  • Must be prepared to be trained in the operation of all related equipment and work skills.
  • Must be able to perform a variety of duties including manual labour.
  • Must be flexible to work varying shifts, & rotational duties, weekends and overtime as required.
  • Must have an ability to participate as an effective team member.
  • Must have a class G license in good standing.

Candidates selected for hire will be required to provide a satisfactory driver’s abstract dated no earlier than 30 days prior to their hire date as a condition of employment.

Candidates may be required to complete and pass on-line testing and training prior to their start date.
