The Electronics Technician performs testing, troubleshooting and repair of opto-electronic equipment.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Performs testing, troubleshooting, repair and calibration of temperature measuring devices (Pyrometers)
- Uses test procedures, drawings, schematics and verbal/written instructions to test and troubleshoot units.
- Completes accurate repair reports and test results for customers.
- Communicates with service staff and manager on identified problems to provide information leading to root cause and corrective action.
- Completes data entry of parts and labor into SAP for all power supplies repaired.
- Demonstrates superior workmanship, quantity, and quality in all work areas.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
- Location: Raunheim, Germany
- Full-time position, 40 hours per week
- Many tasks are repetitive in motion and include the use of electronic assembly equipment
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience as Electronics or Engineering Technician
- Strong soldering skills is a must
- Some surface mount soldering experience
- Must be able to work from schematics, drawings and procedures and use standard test equipment (scopes, meters etc.)
- Must be able to communicate effectively and professionally with co-workers and customers (German)
- Must be a team player
- Ability to be flexible in a dynamic environment
- Ability to exercise independent judgement in solving technical problems
- Basic computer knowledge (Microsoft Office)
- Basic knowledge of SAP preferred
EDUCATION:
- Technician or higher
