Application Developer is responsible for ensuring efficient implementation of technology and process connectivity from data collection, processing to reporting. He/She must fully understand data acquisition, processing, analysis business including industry standard platforms to be able to pro-actively plan and implement the changes in technology with long-term sustainable, scalable solutions. He/She focuses on areas such as system access/security, integration architecture across multiple platforms to ensure implementation of technology and programming best practices. He/She ensures that the organization takes full advantage of the available platforms with optimized configurations to meet the end-to-end data flow expectations.

Job responsibilities

• Completes the setup, programming, configurations, maintenance and decommissioning of technology solutions using defined SOPs and OIs

• Leads development activities in C/C++ with focus on Linux and Linux Kernel (modules)

• Performs development activities with deep knowledge in Java especially UI with SWING

• Understands and able to develop tools and utilities in Base SAS (DATA-Step and macros)

• Leads documentation on system risk assessment for data security, patient safety, GxP compliance across platforms

• Collaborates with team members with a focus on end to end data flow process and technology strategy within Data Sciences & Analytics

• Develops solutions working on multiple technology platforms and processes aiming for efficiency and optimal use of available technical capabilities across systems

• Collaborates with Operations to design, develop and implement standardized technical tools and utilities aiming for automation and efficiency

Understand and monitor the technical performance/metrics of the DS&A tools and apply these finding to improve operational performance of tools

Qualifications

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

Masters/Bachelors degree in a Computer Science, Data Science, natural science, Statistics or a related field.

10-12 years of experience.

3-5 years of direct experience in routinely used technology platforms (ie RAVE, LSH, Oracle Clinical, SAS) for data acquisition and associated review, programming, analysis and reporting (i.e., SCE, SAS, JReview, SpotFire) is required

5-7 years of hands on experience in programming languages such as C#, SQL, SAS, Java, .Net, is required

Detailed understanding of industry standards on integration technology such as web services and odm.xml is also required.

Understanding of global regulatory requirements, rules and guidance associated with clinical trial data is also required.

Understanding the principles of system design, database and programming is also required.

Knowledge of software validation principles and that the functional requirements have been implemented accurately and are traceable to system requirements
