Lead Engineer for fuel feeding, grates and slag systems in large Boiler plants

Do you have experience with design and specification of systems and equipment for handling of solid fuel and waste for large Boiler plants? Would you thrive in an international and dynamic company? If you also have knowledge of the basic functions and processes on large Boiler plants, then you could be the new Lead Engineer in our Boiler Service Engineering department responsible for service and upgrade of fuel feeding and slag handling systems for WtE-, Waste Wood- and Biomass Boiler plants. If you have basic knowledge on strength calculations and can understand FEM analysis, it will be a further qualification.

You will primarily work within the following areas:

• Fuel feeding equipment, conveyors, grates and slag handling systems

• Assure compliance with relevant national and international standards and norms, i.e., PED, EN, etc.

• Material selection where respect of wear, heat and corrosion issues are the case.

• PFD/PID and equipment lists.

• Coordinate/handle work/orders with technology, design, and drawing sub-suppliers.

• Assist with relevant documents for our proposal team for retrofit and service projects.

• Set up technical tender documents and evaluate offers from suppliers.

• Participate in negotiations with sub-suppliers.

• Coordinate and handle obligations with Notifying Bodies (NOBO)

• Inspections/FAT and check of equipment at the suppliers’ production facilities before shipping.

• Site support and troubleshooting.

The Boiler Service department is responsible for and engaged in:

• Execution of retrofit, upgrade and service projects

• Technical support to our O&M department

• Equipment and process specification for Purchase

• Technical and process support

• Outsourcing of design and drawing disciplines

• Spare parts identification

• Workshop programs and follow-up

• Site and installation assistance

• Elaborating of project O&M Manuals

Experienced engineer with interdisciplinary skills

You have a true mind-set of an engineer and are a BSc or MSc within mechanical engineering with specific experience within the Boiler plant design/operation/service segment. You have broad experience from large, complex Boiler plants and can work efficiently on an individual and independent basis. The output of your work and verbal explanations and sketches can easily be understood by others.

We expect that you are proficient in spoken and written English including technical English and speak and write Danish fluently. It’s preferred that you have a driver’s license. You have a personal drive and you will find your way around the organization to find whatever relevant information needed for technical and coordination purpose.
