The mission of the Group Data Office (GDO) is articulated around four pillars:
- Setting, in close cooperation with Business Lines and Functions CDOs, the Group data vision in alignment with the Businesses’ strategies and objectives
- Operationalizing this vision in close cooperation with the Group CIO and making data actionable to drive analytics and digital transformation
- Capitalizing on the steering and animation of the Business Lines and Functions CDOs community to strengthen the data culture within the Group
- Enforcing data governance policy including adherence to BCBS 239 and personal data privacy and protection regulations
Job Description
The Group Data Office is tasked with driving forward the operationalization of the Group data strategy in close partnership with our network of over 40 Data Offices across all business lines and geographies. This work is conducted acorss 5 main areas of work:
1) Data Management and Function Architecture
2) Referentials
3) Privacy, Data Protection and Ethics
4) Data usage, focused on applied data
5) Change, Culture and Innovation, focused on strategy and change management.
The diversity of focus allows us to bring together a diversity of profiles from experts (both technical: AI, BI, – or topical: GDPR) to project managers, community animators and UX designers. We also partner with a large network of Data Scientists and Data specialists across the Group (300+).
Along with other internal partners, Group Data Office leads the development of a central platform of ESG data. This Group referential consolidates and processes ESG and other extra-financial data, which is then distributed, shared and injected into processes of all Group entities. The ambition is to position this platform as a Group asset by developing new features in agile mode such as: Client-facing teams’ dashboard, self-service dashboard, ESG assessment tool, matching capabilities.
The Position:
As a software engineer for the ESG Data Platform, you will be in charge of the application development and deployment in collaboration with the data scientist and our UX designer. Software engineers are involved within our projects from start to finish, providing early on guidance on the feasibility of the solutions dreamed by our clients, ensuring proper code structuring and management by our data scientist, managing the devops set up of the project and actively participating in the industrialization discussion with the target IT.
Altogether, we are looking for full stack developers, people who are as comfortable with front-end development as with storage and back end, people who like to build !
Expertise : JavaScript, Python, SQL, Docker, React, devops methodology
Education: Bachelor or Master Degree in Computer Science or related field
Experience: at least 2-year experience as software engineer in an agile, innovation oriented team
Fluent in English, French a plus
