Data Center Project Manager – Spain

Job DescriptionBased out of one of our major client sites you will manage multiple large scale customer projects while supporting them as a key account contact. You will ensure quality of installations and service delivery as well as help drive the increasing revenue potential, profitability and client retention and growth. This role reports to the Program manager EMEA and is critical in Black Box’s EMEA expansion planning.

Responsibilities

• Run multiple projects and converse at a senior level within the accounts.
• Be the primary interface and contact on behalf of Black Box to the customer and their project leaders.
• Some pre-sales duties, for example influencing opportunity qualification and producing quotes and (tender) documents.
• Development and implementation of necessary working processes and project delivery procedures to successfully deliver key projects, support contracts and/or generally service our clients requirements.
• Be responsible for controlling this projects, and support contracts on-site, to ensure the standard of workmanship is as expected, and to deal with any H&S, personnel, or site issues as they arise.
• Be responsible for controlling the project finances and financial reporting in monthly or adhoc reporting meetings. This will include P&L, estimations, quotations, invoicing, variations and forecasting.
• Risk Management and Quality Control of the project and other support activities carried out on the clients’ sites from a commercial and technical aspect as well as ensuring H&S requirements are met in full.

Qualifications

• Commercially focused with demonstrated ability to commercially track projects.
• Excellent project planning and people management skills.
• Good Commercial and Negotiation Skills and ability to control project finances.
• Excellent technical datacomms knowledge & understanding.
• The ability to delegate tasks and motivate teams to achieve their goals.
• Good internal and external communication skills both written and oral. Professional working levels of English are Essential for this role.
• Ability to work and manage in high pressure and time critical situations.
• Ability to Deliver results, to think around potential obstacles and meet objectives.
• Proven track record with managing data center projects ideally focused within data centre infrastructure.
• Prince 2, or similar standard of Project Management or equivalent working experience is a requirement for this role.
