Job Overview

ABEI ENERGY is an Independent Power Producer (IPP) which engages in the full management of projects to generate power from renewable resources using photovoltaic, csp, biomass, wind, hydroelectric and cogeneration power technologies. We’re rapidly expanding, both here in Spain and abroad, and we’re looking to add a Junior Procurement Technician to our team based in Cordoba.  Working within the Procurement Department, the candidate shall carry out all procurement processes required from the EPC-O&M Area of the company, that is, the construction stage of the several projects worldwide. The main purchasing categories where the candidate will collaborate are: PV modules, Wind Turbine Generators, PV structure, Power Stations, Power Transformers, Cabling, Civil Works, Electromechanical Assemblies, etc.

It is required to have an engineering degree and an advanced level of English.  Knowledge of the procurement process of an international corporation and specific education in the energy sector are highly valued.

Responsibilities:

• To manage the suppliers panel, proposing alternative providers and carrying out the homologation and evaluation processes.
• To be responsible of the required procurement processes, specifically, to identify the necessity, to propose several suppliers, to request and evaluate the quotations, to propose the awardee, to manage the purchase order or contract, to follow-up the correct delivery and to communicate with the Financial Dept to ensure the invoicing.
• To look for cost saving opportunities by proposing alternatives to the existing procurement processes.
• To collaborate with the rest of the departments to ensure the expected information management inside the organisation.

  Requirements:

• Degree in Industrial or Electrical Engineering
• 1 year experience desired
• English – Advanced
