Job Description
Environment Validation Specialist will focus on ensuring that our new and existing suppliers comply with H&M group’s environmental standards.
As Environment Validation Specialist, you will work closely with Social and Environmental Validation Manager and other stakeholder to secure the goals and activities. So, if you enjoy improving process and have ambition to make impactful changes, then this role is what you are looking for.
This role will be based in Jakarta – Indonesia.
In this role, you are responsible for working with suppliers to ensure they are equipped in carrying out self-assessment and development that comply with our working methods and standards (verified by independent 3rd Party Assessor).
You also monitor the quality of data and information provided through validation.
In all that you do, your clearly communicate the areas for improvement with supplier, guiding them through root cause analysis to secure their understanding on our working methods and standards. Support suppliers and internal teams on competence building, securing that improvements and implementations are attainable. And support Social and Environmental Validation manager or lead on trainings and workshop for internal teams and suppliers to update the improvements areas, best practices and new guidelines.
Your contribution will support H&M to ensure impactful changes in the supply chain.
Qualifications
you deliver on the areas you have ownership for by living our values every day and primarily through collaboration with our suppliers and internal teams. Strong English communication and influencing skill and data analysis skill is a must for this role.
To be successful in this role , you also need to have good understanding in HIGG Environmental Module.
Having knowledge on Water/Energy , and Effluent Treatment Plan (Waste water treatment & assessment ) will be preferred for this role.
Having Environmental Engineering Background will be preffered.
You build strong relationship with our suppliers and stakeholders to ensure there is continuous collaboration in constantly improving working methods of our suppliers and the best practices are effectively implemented.
Aside from that, you keep yourself proactively updated on regulatory change, trends and industry initiatives, identify priorities for our organizations and suppliers.
You use your expertise to suggest and implement creative and practical solutions and also work closely to assess short-term and long-term training needs for our supplier. Not less important, you act with high levels of professionalism at all times while at the same time you maintain the highest level of ethical standards as an ambassador of H&M, our values and goals on Social and Environmental topics.
