The Role: Data Associate

Grade 9

The Location: India (open to location)

The Team: The S&P Global Debt Issuance Ratings team is tasked with capturing and reporting on S&P and competitor issuance ratings. We build strategic platforms for the Executive Committee, Analytical and Commercial staff to access. These platforms help unlock the power of issuance data, providing insight into Market Share and Market Trends. The team ensures availability of content and its end-to-end completeness and quality, according to our governance standards, allowing for quick informed decisions. The group is part of the Data Content Management team which is responsible for all data content management as it relates to the ratings enterprise databases, analytic workflow tools and downstream Market Intelligence products.

The Impact: This role will be responsible for supporting the senior team members as it relates to project deliverables including reviewing and reconciling global issuance data, user acceptance testing, automation deliverables and new process deliverables. All Data Content Management is based on internal processes, guidelines and best practices in a deadline driven environment with a focus on innovation and transformation.

Responsibilities:
Partner closely with Content Ops & Data Enablement teams to ensure an efficient, streamlined, and high quality end-to-end content value chain.
Complete project deliverables utilizing enterprise databases, data management tools and data profiling tools to meet project deadlines
Learn and apply data content business rules and quality standards related to Ratings
Quality test data using internal tools and data sources, resolve data defects
Understand ratings data definitions and understand the ratings and reference data as it relates to Global Issuance
Assist in ad-hoc research activities and reporting

What We’re Looking For:Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required
Excellent time management skills, ability to meet strict deadlines
Strong communication skills
Strong MS Excel skills
Understanding of basic SQL a plus
Comfortable working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications:
Strong domain knowledge & content expertise with S&P Enterprise datasets, systems, and ancillary products
Experience working in an Agile environment and leveraging tools such as Azure DevOps
Understanding of the data and ratings industry
