The Team:
SPGMI Market Data content team collects and validates data using search tools, press releases, company websites, stock exchange websites and regulatory filings with a view to provide in-depth, accurate and timely Index and Securities data that supports technical analysis of market participants by providing important inputs necessary for computation of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) including metrics like index total return, securities total return, dividend yields, market capitalization, stock volatility etc.
The Impact:
This role will influence the Market Data that is used by our customers such as Portfolio Manager, Investment Managers etc. In addition to collecting and validating the data, this role may require working on client driven data quality audits.

Responsibilities:
- Sourcing and validating data from exchange, company websites, press releases, and company filings with regulatory bodies and vendors, to be ingested into the database, using financial knowledge and workflow tools as per the specified policies and procedures.
- Deliver on predefined individual and team targets including delivering outcomes with quality and excellence.
- Will work within parameters and with supervision to ensure quality and performance to set standards.
- Keeps up-to-date in knowledge of content sets. Builds industry knowledge by understanding industry trends and reporting standards
- Provides input and ideas for new collection methods and product enhancements related to the covered content sets with client centric approach.
- Troubleshoots problems or issues and provide support to the team.

- Good knowledge of financial markets and instruments.
- The candidate should be willing to work in rotational night shifts. Ability to multi-task and work in a team environment, while following flexible schedule to meet deadlines.
- Effective communication skill (written & Verbal) and sound computer skills are the pre requisites for the positions.
- Comfortable taking initiative and demonstrating resourcefulness.
- Strong attention to detail and persistent approach to work.
- Strong quantitative, analytical and interpretive skills.
- Well equipped with MS Office knowledge.
Basic Qualifications:
- Post-Graduation: M.Com / PGDM/MBA (Streams Eligible – Any Stream with Finance / Accountancy as Major or Minor subject)
- Well versed with Internet searching and Microsoft Office
- Ability to prioritize, multi-task, and deliver with regard to fast deadlines
- An inquisitive and investigative nature.
- A Positive attitude, strong interest in research, flair for writing and an eye for detail.
- Ability to interact with many levels and to face and deal with issues in a mature and professional manner.
- Willingness to work in Evening and Night shift on rotational basis
- Minimum and Preferred Experience: 0-3 years of experience
