Responsibilities:

Job Title : DBA (Oracle db, SQL)

Experience Rang e: 2 years to 3.8 years into DBA with Oracle db and SQL

Job Location : Pune,Magarpatta(currently WFH)

Role Description:

Provide Technical, Customer and Team deliveries for successful database administration

Reporting relationship:

This role will report to Delivery Manager

Key Responsibilities:

Delivery

  • Physical implementation and support of databases
  • Monitor and maintain databases to produce stable and efficient systems
  • Database helpdesk support that includes Database tuning and resolution of performance issues
  • Provide Data fixes.
  • Support software developers with database operations including the development of complex SQL, tuning of DML and the creation of stored procedures.
  • Work with data modeler to come up with the physical data model implementation needs.
  • Manage production, QA and development database environments.
  • Assist in capacity planning
  • Ensure secure database by creating and following corporate security policies

Process Adherence

  • Ensure Compliance with PGS / BU specific SDLC / Execution practices (like defect management, prevention, efforts tracking etc)
  • Provide input for maintaining delivery metrics
  • Contribute in release planning and co-ordination

Other Contribution

  • Participate in BU level initiatives,Knowledge Management, Operational Efficiency, code jams etc.

Qualifications:

Must Have:

  • Experience with Oracle on Linux / UNIX
  • Should have knowledge in troubleshooting Oracle DBA related issues
  • Working experience in RMAN, Logical backup and recovery using Data Pump, export/import
  • Routine DBA tasks like database maintenance, tablespace management, SQL performance tuning, etc.


Good to have Skills:

  • Hands-on exposure on SQL Server, MongoDB database administration activities
  • Shell and Python Scripting
  • Exposure to AWS Cloud datastores will be an advantage
  • Technical accreditations/certifications

Education: GraduateBachelors degree (any stream)

Other: Sound technical skills, inter personal skills, good experience in estimation methodologies, excellent communication and time management skills required

  • Collaborate with data modelers, project teams and vendors to implement database changes

  • Consult with developers on design, conversions and testing data needs

Good experience in providing production on-call support.
