As Royal Dutch Shell is a multinational energy company with around 84,000 employees across more than 70 countries, expect to support the Learning design and development in a global scale. As this is a global role, you will cater and work with customers from various countries within our organization.

What’s the role?

As a Learning Expert, you will be part of a team of Learning Content Advisors to support the Organisation Development and Learning (OD&L) organization to build the best new learning solutions content.

You are expected to be a learning specialist with deep expertise in instructional design, learning innovation and customer centricity, along with advanced project management and vendor management skills.

Your primary interfaces will be with Learning Advisors from Learning Solutions across the portfolio while your network will include external vendors, Shell’s HR Digital team, the OD&L Center of Excellence (CoE), and our HRIT Team to leverage the current infrastructure and ensure you are part of the continuing process and systems journey.

In this role, you’ll be accountable for unleashing the best of our vendor capabilities and to create the best learning possible in Shell for the best price. A special challenge will be vendor management for both quality of product, but also value.

You are expected to understand business needs sufficiently to ensure that the right vendor is identified, the right vendor team are in place, the quality processes are aligned, and Shell gets the best price. Timely delivery to agreements is a must.

This role requires you to interact with clients across all parts of the world in Shell. You would need to have proven skill of building effective working relationships with colleagues from Europe, Asia and Americas.

You will be contributing to drive for continuous improvement and innovation of the portfolio of content solutions.

What we need from you?

We’re keen to hear from Learning professionals, specifically who have expertise in Learning Content Design, Delivery, and other associated processes.

Beyond that, we’d like to see the following on your CV:

• At least 8-15 years’ relevant experience.
• Ability to manage vendors and take accountability for large projects.
• Understanding of ‘the business of learning’, including learning portfolio, Learning technologies, and adult learning.
• A passion for learning content design and development.
• Detail oriented skill and passion towards continuous improvement and transformation through project management.
• Comfortable to quickly build and sustain a wide network across diverse stakeholders to help ‘get things done’.
• Ability to bring a Learner Mindset, a curiosity to learn and grow yourself, learn from mistakes and a commitment to create an environment where people can speak up openly in a safe environment.
