WPP are underway with a significant programme of technology-enabled change across our Finance, Professional Services and People function and this role will be instrumental in ensuring that post go-live our solution is governed correctly, production led and enthusiastically adopted through the production footprint.

In this role you will work be a part of the Workday Services team, reporting to the Workday Services Service Manager, but also closely engaged with the Workday @Scale programme team who are delivering the next phase of our Workday deployment, ensuring that both BAU and project changes flow through a review process.

As part of the role, you will assist with the exit transition of our current AMS partner, be involved in the creation of the next iteration of BAU support, be it a new AMS partner or a hybrid model comprised of Internal resources and a new AMS partner. This will involve onboarding and helping to manage the transitionreadiness activities and its processes.

Once the service is live you will assist in building and maintaining a change governance process, encompassing the right due diligence to prioritise and ensure safe delivery of change while maintaining agility to support our evolving business requirements. Close partnership with our business change team will be key to ensure changes are correctly communicated and training provided leading to a seamless introduction of enhancements.

This flagship programme will see Workday deployed across our global landscape to address the technology needs of Finance, Projects and our People function – so essentially it touches all of our employees to some degree. The key to this programme is that technology is an enabler for change, it’s at the heart of what we do, but it’s not all of what we do. The people aspects of this programme are vital to its success. This role will help deliver that success on an ongoing basis for many years to come.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Design and lead an enhancement prioritization and governance process that enables the correct level of governance and rigor to prioritize changes based on business value and requirements
  • Assist in key forums for change review and approval such as Design authority
  • Align with the Workday @Scale program to align project changes with the governance process and release schedule
  • Develop working relationship with business change management team to ensure change is appropriately communicated
  • Monitor change value and effectiveness against the benefits listed in the change request and suggest improvements to maximize value of our enhancements
  • Operate a demand process to manage our enhancement capacity
  • Help monitor and review AMS supplier performance to service levels and expected deliverables
  • Communicate risks and issues with changes in a timely manner to leadership
  • Assist in continuous improvement of change process to enable an agile approach to enhancement delivery and maximize standard changes

What you’ll need:

  • Global ERP service support and deployment experience in a complex organization
  • Expertise evaluating change impact and preparing users for introduction of change
  • Develop trusted relationships with key stakeholders in IT and cross the wider WPP business, investing time to understand their needs, and helping to breakdown any silos or resistance to deliver desired business outcomes
  • Experience of service transition and readiness activities.
  • Ability to evaluate change risk and provide expertise and assistance to minimise risk
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills both with technical and non-technical audiences
  • Understanding of AMS contracts and how service levels are calculated and monitored
  • Experience with working closely with AMS partners and wider IT Teams.
  • Ability to present data to executive stakeholders
  • Working knowledge of ticket management systems, ServiceNow would be an advantage
