【Summary】
Uber Japan, Hinomaru Kotsu, and Tesla Motors Japan are collaborating on an innovative initiative to deploy 100 Tesla vehicles within Tokyo’s 23 wards to address global climate change. This effort addresses global climate change by promoting zero-emission vehicles and caters to the increasing demand for luxurious high-end vehicles for tourists and business travelers.

A new role, ‘Tesla Dedicated Driver (Next-Generation Taxi),’ is introduced, welcoming inexperienced applicants and drivers of all types. The position focuses on reservation-based dispatch, catering primarily to inbound demand and offers cultural exchange and language learning opportunities with clients. Drivers will operate the ‘Tesla Model Y,’ a hallmark of zero-emissions electric vehicles while embracing the concept of the “next generation taxi”.

Training for this role lasts about 2 months and the company offers comprehensive technical support for driver development.

The ideal applicant would have a year or more of driving experience and there are no educational requirements. The company will cover all expenses for obtaining the necessary taxi license.

The work schedule requires drivers to commit to a 16 hour shift, once every 11 days. Drivers will work in various wards in the Tokyo area, and the company provides generous options for maternity leave.

The job offers a guaranteed monthly salary of over 300,000 yen, and after deployment, a monthly salary guarantee is in place for the first 12 months.

This role introduces a new approach to transportation and work, promoting sustainability and offering growth opportunities for drivers.

Responsibilities include providing transportation for individuals requesting rides from ‘Uber Premium.’

Note: This differs from typical chauffeur operations.
There is no cruising or waiting at stations like traditional taxis.

Instructors simulate customers, and you will drive on the streets using training vehicles.

【Qualifications】
・No educational requirements
・Those with a regular driver’s license for more than 1 year (AT license holders accepted)
You can obtain the necessary Class 2 license (“taxi license”) for the role after joining the company. Company covers all driving expenses.
Ideal skills can be acquired after joining the company!
Hinomaru Kotsu’s training is more comprehensive than any other service of its kind, spanning about 2 months in length! You can cover the driving ABC’s of this work from A-Z by completing the training program.
Retirement age is 70 with no restrictions against continuing to work beyond retirement age※Limited to Contract employees

Permanent residents, long-term residents, spouses of Japanese nationals, spouses of permanent residents, etc.
Designated Activities: 46(N1 holders who have graduated from a Japanese 4-year university or completed a graduate school course)
Student (mainly for new graduates. Can be changed to Designated Activities: 46 visa)
Engineer/Specialist in Humanities/International or education
*After the job offer, it will take two months to apply for the visa, however it is not guaranteed your visa will be approved.

●Japanese level N3 or above, or equivalent Japanese reading, writing, and conversation skills.

●Be able to understand the test questions for Type 2 driving license (Japanese)
The written test for the Class 2 driver’s license is written in Japanese.
Please make sure you can read and understand the text, including kanji and difficult expressions.
There are about 100 questions.

●Have a driver’s license in Japan and abroad for a total of 3 years or more, and are familiar with driving in Japan.

●Be able to provide a guarantor who is Japanese, a permanent resident, or a long-term resident when joining the company.

●Confirmation items
・Everyday conversations, notifications, documents, etc. within the company are all in Japanese.
・A Japanese language test and driving skill test may be required at the time of selection.

【Expected Salary】
Monthly salary of 300,000 yen or more
Many earn over 450,000 yen per month!
Annual monthly guarantee 300,000 yen(for a year) & 100,000 yen joining bonus! (Conditions apply to both)
During the training period, daily pay is 10,000 yen (7-hour workday, nutritious lunch provided!)
6-month trial period. Salary adjustment and benefits can be evaluated after this period.
Guaranteed monthly salary of 300,000 yen for the first 12 months after your first day of official driving (conditions apply)
Bonuses will be provided if sales exceed the set target!

【Working Hours】
Monthly 11-day shift (16-hour workday)
(Example) 7:30 AM to 2:30 AM Next Day
1-month rotating shift (average 40 hours per week)
Easily balance work and private life due to fixed resting days and clear end-of-shift times.
You can take breaks as needed(minimum 3h)
Number of working days can be negotiated based on preference
