[Summary]
This position plans and controls inventory of finished goods for sales warehouses, distribution centers, and factors mixing points to meet sales and distribution demand. And also, analyzes inventory levels, inventory positioning and production and sale forecasts.
[Responsibilities]
1) Plans inventory per the sales forecast, to meet both customer service and inventory targets.
2) Coordinates physical inventories, change (Regulatory, artwork) management, cycle counting, surplus obsolete, engineering changes, cancellation activities, projected usage and other inventory planning/and reduction activities. Reviews and analyzes stock control records and information such as consumption rate, characteristics of items in storage, and current market conditions and recommends replenishment plan.
3) Recommends improvement to inventory system where errors could affect the replenishment systems, financial position, credibility, or overall operation. Updates inventory records. Controls inventory accuracy and controls inventory levels by changing reorder points and par levels to meet changing demands.
4) Troubleshoots severe inventory inaccuracies. Audits sales order location discrepancies and implements permanent resolution. Audits warehouse locations especially problem inbound/outbound staging locations.
5) Develops reports to keep service management aware of potential trends, shortages, back orders, and status of service parts as required. Prepares special reports, statistics and graphs used to analyze and forecast operating needs.
6) Supports supervisor, vendors and staff to resolve any problems and/or concerns. Provides information and assistance on inventory policies and/or procedures.
[Requirements]
- BA/BS required
- A minimum of 7 years’ experience in supply chain. At least 2-3 years’ Pharma/OTC supply chain is required
- Good command of English in writing/speaking and good communication is required
- Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
- CPIM certification is preferred
