Chartering Administrator

The successful candidate will be responsible for lending day-to-day administrative support for Braskem’s CPP Chartering Activities in Europe, Brazil, Asia and the US. Braskem’s constantly evolving commercial operations provide a fantastically challenging role, dynamic workload coupled with a flexible, progressive working environment. We are seeking a highly motivated, innovative and resourceful individual to complement our team in Rotterdam.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Support CPP desk with all administration items of the chartering procurement procedure
  • Support bunker purchase process for CPP vessels
  • Support GHG reduction studies and targets.
  • Handle Vessel, Owner, Broker screening (Compliance, Credit Risk etc)
  • Handle registration process of new suppliers in SAP
  • Assist with Cash Flow and Freight payment management and follow up with owners
  • Assist with post fixture issues (LOIs, change in BLS, quality issues, shortage claims, etc.)
  • Management of the Chartering KPIs
  • Input of Contracts on the ERP system (SAP) and other (cloud-based) filing.
  • Vetting – Management of vetting process for every vessel hired
  • Set up of internal and external presentations
  • Variable Analysis and studies

Requirements:

  • Degree in Business administration, Maritime/Logistics or similar preferred. 
  • Possess and demonstrate good interpersonal communication skills.
  • Independent and decisive as well as being a strong team player.
  • Organized, communicative and structured.
  • Strong Administration and recording skills.
  • Self motivated yet patient, and able to work with minimum supervision.
