Sustainability manager

Drive sustainability across the extended supply chain, ensuring our products meet some of our most stringent sustainability requirements globally, while optimizing circular economy practices across our B2C portfolio that improves the lives of millions of people each year

You are responsible for

• The sustainability compliance process in product development projects

• Partnering with remote support teams in Europe and Asia in execution of KPI measurement 

• Solution development for underperformance (root cause analysis, suggesting corrective actions) with various stakeholder groups

• Project management support for circular economy project 

• Working with various stakeholders in the supply chain, markets, and businesses to reach project goals 

• Creating and maintaining management reports that enable decision making

You are a part of

Group Sustainability is a diverse, innovative, and trend-setting team within the Philips organization. In this role, you will work closely with various parts of the supply chain organization, businesses, and several markets. The main location for this role will be in Amsterdam, but there are also opportunities to work from our High-Tech Campus in Eindhoven or partially remote.

To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience

• Master’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain, Mathematics, Computer Science, or similar

• Data analysis skills, evidenced by programming proficiency (e.g. Excel VBA) 

• At least two years of project management experience and/or professional certification (PMP, Agile, Prince2)

• Experienced in LEAN, continuous improvement, and optimizing globally operating processes  

• Pro-active attitude and can-do mentality, able to connect with various types of people/stakeholders

• Fluent in English, both written and verbal

• Tangible interest in sustainability and circular economy

• Experience with working in a matrixed organization that includes B2C products
