Job Description

Provide functional expertise in establishing EHS requirements

  • Provide EHS and technical support for implementation of EHS Management System and report on EHS performance and best practice Lead Implementation of GEHSMS (Global Environmental Health and Safety Management System) and deployment of 32 management and technical standards
  • EHS Regulatory compliance assurance
  • GEHSMS diagnostic auditing, developing action plans and ensuring actions completion for GEHSMS external audit
  • Support the site management team in appropriate EHS leadership
  • Liaise with all site personnel to ensure effective use of best practice and consistency in approach to EHS activities
  • Dealing with un-educated labor, less skilled contractor safety teams, multiple projects executions at the same time, stretched timelines, less ability of team to visualize risks and layout safety procedures, cultural safety challenges are most significant which requires very close supervision of team. No formal training at national or provincial level so training and coaching becomes primary responsibility as well
  • Development and stewardship of Site’s Emergency Response Plan
  • FM global system management for hot work especially
  • Development of EHS flyers and EHS visibility agenda management
  • Understand and communicate compliance requirements, risks, and best practices
  • Manage a recurring process to identify, assess, and control hazards and risks
  • Monitor compliance status and develop/recommend plans to close gaps
  • Identify and train (or arrange for training of) resources to assist with managing various parts of the program
  • Educate and coach all levels of employees on EHS topics and their responsibilities
  • Facilitate a culture that promotes safe work behaviors/correct environmental focus as a way of business
  • Institutionalize EHS activities as necessary elements of the business
  • Track and report status and trends
  • Manage EHS-related records

MyEHS Deployment

  • Ensuring all reporting requirements of myEHS, using Metrics module, incidence module, water module, audit module and develop capability of other associate on myEHS modules
  • Ensuring 100% on-time completion of all Hi-Po’s action items coming out from incidence investigation and audit findings

Effectively support the implementation of following Requirements

  • Lead initiatives to promote visible and pro-active management commitment and employee involvement in EHS activities
  • Participate in workplace activities to raise the quality of EHS input, including JRAs, incident investigation and risk management

Adopt a governance role to check compliance with these requirements

  • Provide oversight to ensure all site activities have effective work safety arrangements
  • Actively promote and monitor management of change issues and change

Monitor and review EHS performance to drive continual improvement

  • Support the implementation and achievement of campaign EHS objectives and performance measures
  • Stimulate improvements to procedures and work practices
  • Participate in and facilitate EHS audits, reviews & assessments
  • Support the collecting, storing, analyzing, tracking and reporting of EHS performance data (e.g. Incident report findings, statistics, audit actions)

Ensure effective implementation of all Quality & food safety related requirement as per PepsiCo QAS, FSSC 22K, AIB, Halal Management System and regulatory standards.

Qualifications/Requirements

  • NEBOSH IGC, IOSH, OSHA, ASP or equivalent
