Fall Internship – Freight/Logistics/Dispatch – US Based

The core responsibilities of an Intern reflect the following:

  • Assist with finding best-paying loads, negotiating desired rates with brokers.
  • Assist with Keeping OOs or Carriers assigned to oneself loaded all the time as per the client’s requirements.
  • Learn how to create and maintain dedicated lanes.
  • Following up on detention and layovers.
  • Gain knowledge of major load boards.
  • Gain knowledge of Transportation Management Systems.

What will I need to thrive in this role?

  • Ability to work in night shift.
  • Junior or Senior In college working towards a bachelor’s degree
  • Analytical skills, detail-oriented, self-oriented and proactive
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, start-up type environment
  • Experience working with Microsoft Excel/Google Sheets
  • Independent and success-driven individual
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential

What is the hiring process?

  • There will be an initial screening interview. Following that interview, there will be one interview with the owner.
