1. JOB PURPOSE:
Responsible for all Qatar Duty Free Food and Beverage operations. Autonomously and independently managing all aspects of the business and able to control the activities as a whole. Responsible also to forecast, plan and manage all F&B food orders, staffing, rostering and finance, to maximize sales and
revenue generated through customer satisfaction and employee engagement.
2. ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Operational
Responsible for all shifts in Food and Beverage Operations and ensures that the F & B offer and service is delivered to agreed standards and time frames.
Ensure that the quality, style and concept of the QDF Food and Beverage product, is correctly delivered across all HIA locations.
Overall Responsibility for all Food and Beverage Operations and FOH staff over a period of their shifts.
Documentation of all activities during the shift is carried out.
All Locations/Units are supplied with the correct quality, quantity and selection of product and ensuring that supplies are available for re-stocking, giving the production Kitchen the appropriate notice.
Ensuring unit merchandising is consistent with our brand guidelines, no unit should be under merchandised or in an “out of stock” situation at any time.
Ensure visual merchandising standards are followed in all locations/units.
Oversight of all Front of House operations and staffing up at “pinch points” and busy locations.
Responsibility of shift sales collections and submissions to cash office.
Serves as a role model to demonstrate appropriate behaviours by communicating and assisting individuals to understand guest needs, providing guidance, feedback, and individual coaching when needed, to ensure that are above and beyond for customer satisfaction and retention.
Co-ordinating Voucher Restaurant operations and reacting to increases in passengers utilising vouchers
Maintain the stock and inventory in each location properly as per par level stock to ensure all locations have enough stocks to cover fully operational at any time.
Ensuring Quality, food safety and HACCP standards are upheld at all times within each location/unit.
Reporting incidents and feedback to superiors on operational concerns as per set standards
Preparing Duty Manager Shift sales and operational reports with correct and accurate figure.
Identify customers’ needs and respond proactively to all of their concerns and complaints to ensure all address and fix in the timely and efficient manner.
Concessionaire Oversight and Coordination to identify trends and making recommendation for business improvements if and when required.
Perform other department duties related to his/her position as directed by the Head of the Department.
Management & Leadership
Establish the department or teams objectives and priorities to align with and support business objectives.
Regularly evaluate the department or teams objectives, plans, procedures and practices, and makes appropriate changes if needed.
Oversee and supervise employees. Direct daily activities, recruit, train, develop and discipline to ensure a high standard of service delivery.
Train and develop other employees, to ensure succession planning is in place.
Personal Development
Take responsibility for own ongoing personal development and growth of expertise.
Keep abreast with any market trends and developments
Assist in the response to any emergency or a major operational disruption affecting Qatar Airways or its subsidiaries, including support of the Qatar Airways Special Assistance Program.

Ensure compliance to all relevant safety, security, quality and environmental management policies, procedures and controls across the operation to assure employee safety, security, legislative compliance and delivery of high quality service with a responsible environmental attitude.
Ensure that all managers and supervisors understand work health and safety requirements and expectations to the extent that they can pass on relevant information, identify training needs and provide appropriate supervision in their workplace.
Take a direct and personal interest in reported injuries, incidents, near misses and hazards to ensure that appropriate reporting, investigation and response is being achieved.
Environmental Competencies

Have a good understanding of environmental principles and tools and how they apply to your department and role.
Qualifications
About You:
Essential
Qualification in Hotel/Catering Management or equivalent.
Working experience in fast paced multi units environments
Experienced in HACCP and quality assurance implementation or Related Training.
HACCP Certification experience.
Preferred
Worked with a major internationally recognised hotel or Commercial Brand (preferably 5 star restaurant or hotels).
Job Specific Skills:
Essential
Proven Track record in management and achieving results.
Computer Knowledge in Outlook, MS word and MS Excel.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills as well as strong interpersonal skills.
Methodical and practice solution solver.
Understanding of food preparation, presentation and service.
